Peachpit Publishing Group (@Peachpit), the publisher of many “bibles” of in design, graphics, photography, digital video, and Web development, celebrates 25 years in business in a series of interviews on my show, The A-List with Jennifer Neeley.

Imprints include not just Peachpit Press, but also New Riders, Adobe Press, Apple Certified Training, and Kelby/NAPP Books.

The program features interviews with:

  • Scott Kelby (@ScottKelby) Editor, Publisher, and educator. One of Scott’s 50 books, The Digital Photography Book, Vol. 1, is the best-selling book ever on digital photography and is a recipient of the prestigious Benjamin Franklin Award.
  • Robin Williams, the author of dozens of best-selling and award-winning books about the Macintosh. They include the groundbreaking The Little Mac Book and Robin Williams Mac OS X Book. She is an icon in the Mac community.
  • Steve Krug (@skrug), the highly respected usability consultant who has worked quietly for years for companies like Apple, Netscape, AOL, BarnesandNoble.com, Excite@Home, and Circle.com. He may be best known for one of my favorite books, Don’t Make Me Think: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability, now in its second edition with over 200,000 copies in print. Don’t Make Me Think! is the product of more than 10 years experience as a user advocate.
  • Christopher Breen (@bodyofbreen), whose been writing about the Macintosh since the latter days of the Reagan administration for such publications as MacUser, MacWEEK, and Macworld. He currently writes Macworld’s Daily Tips, as well as Game Room, the magazine’s monthly games column. When not engaged in journalistic pursuits, Chris works as a professional musician in the San Francisco Bay area.

I wrap up by speaking with publisher Nancy Aldrich-Ruenzel (@naruenzel), vice-president of Pearson Technology Group and publisher of Peachpit Publishing Group.

I ask her about the anniversary with a look back at highlights of the presses history and what what’s in store for the future of the imprint.
