Mark Harter is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for 4d Global partners. He founded TechSupportForDummies.com.

Mark has over 25 years of experience in starting, running, and funding technology companies. He has led startup and existing operating businesses as an operating executive and investor, where he has raised in excess of $200 million in funding. He has been the President and/or CEO of several startup and early stage companies where he managed payrolls of over 150 persons.

 

Previously, Mr. Harter was CEO of a boutique investment bank and private equity firm concentrating investment activities in the Internet, telecommunications, and semiconductor sectors in the U.S. and Europe. In the U.S., he engineered and oversaw the acquisition of the first retail wireless home networking company by Cypress Semiconductor (NYSE:CY). In Europe, he managed a number of technology and manufacturing projects, including satellite television systems, paging systems, and cellular systems, and he developed and refurbished a number of manufacturing facilities.

 

In this capacity, he worked with major Western companies, including Ford Motor Company, Coca-Cola, Anchor Glass, and Glenayre Communications. Mr. Harter received a dual Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Economics and Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley.
