Andy Rathbone has written about computers and technology since the mid-80s. Twenty-five years later, he has written more than 50 books, and Windows For Dummies has become the best-selling computer book series of all time. With more than 15 million books in print, he earned spots on bestseller lists from the New York Times, USA Today, and Publisher’s Weekly.
Andy is author of Windows For Dummies, Upgrading and Fixing Computers “Do-It-Yourself” For Dummies, and he is currently writing Motorola Xoom For Dummies.
In this interview with Andy, we talk about how he got started with writing the For Dummies instructional books taking us all the way back to writing Windows 3.0 for Dummies and his premonition that Windows Vista was probably not going to be well received. Andy also talks about his upcoming book about the Motorola Xoom. And find out if Andy was ever a Mac user.
